Lancaster County Convention Center

The new Lancaster County Convention Center and adjoining Marriott Lancaster at Penn Square are now open! Built within the facade of the former Watt & Shand department store site, the Convention Center is the cornerstone to the revitalization of historic downtown Lancaster.

The Convention Center features a 45,000+ square-foot exhibit hall with the capability to host 300 8x10 trade show booths. It is also home to an elegant 9,000 square foot ballroom and more than 20,000 square feet of flexible pre-function space. It is equipped with state-of-the-art future high-tech amenities, including business centers, CAT 6 wiring, WiFi, Web TV and A/V. The Convention Center conveniently adjoins to the Marriott Lancaster at Penn Square, featuring an additional 25,000 square feet of meeting space and 300 luxurious guest rooms, plus many upscale amenities. Learn more about the Marriott.

Food and beverage services include gourmet banquet facilities and kitchen, plus concession areas in the exhibit hall. Guests can relax in a 100-seat, 3-meal dining room, outdoor dining area, 45-seat lounge off the lobby and lobby bar.

Stevens and Smith Historic Site: The preserved home and other structures of American patriots the Honorable Thaddeus Stevens and his confidante Lydia Hamilton Smith, with a multi-level 20,000 square foot museum and interpretive/education center. Among its variety of exhibits the underground portion of the site will feature a recently unearthed historic Underground Railroad feature, a converted water cistern utilized in the mid-ninteenth century to hide runaway slaves escaping to freedom. The historic site will be visually integrated into the Vine Street entrance and lobby of the convention center.
